Field condition - steel conduit extended beyond foundation wall , picked up in underground outside plant and extended to maintenance hole.
Interior conduit continuous to 2nd floor Equipment Room. Conduit enters building below grade at ceiling level of cellar in building located Manhattan NY

Can interior of conduit be sealed to prevent water and gas infiltration at existing pull box which is installed within 20 feet of building point of entry?
building conduit couplers appear to use compression fittings. Conduit has live communication cable servicing building.

I suggested to seal conduits at maintenance hole. Other conduits without pull box are empty , I will direct contractor to cut conduit at point of entry so conduits can be sealed

Please advise

Thanks
