What are the current standards for cabling a new office desktop? Fiber Copper, count. Have very large customer that is insisting on one Cat 6A cable per desk.

Thanks, Chris Herrington

You must have a minimum of 2 outlets at each location. 1 is against code.

Always look out for the next tech. because one day it will be you.

Slight correction.

It is against standards, not code.

ANSI/TIA 568-C.1, Paragraph 8.1, in part "A minimum of two permanent links shall be provided for each work area."

Thanks, Tim.......standards, meaning the cable police won't be knocking if you only run 1.

Always look out for the next tech. because one day it will be you.
