Many military documents reference the Lucent Technologies Document 900-200-318, Outside Plant Engineering Handbook.  Does anybody know where to find this?  It would be good to have on the shelf.

I did an extensive search, even looking at other sources such as BSP, AT&T, Avaya, etc and could locate nada on the BSP number or the title of this document. I found a number of documents that refer to it but not the actual document.

Good luck in your search

Good to have on the shelf is correct.  Unless you can get to an old Bell System Engineers desk as he's cleaning house before retirement - lots of luck. Otherwise check sporadically on EBay or Craigslist.

Attached is a snapshot of the the AT&T cover and select TOC's for your reference.  You may only need a chapter or two - based on what your looking for (see "Practice xxx-xxx-xxx").  See attached pdf.  Handbook part number matches your post.  Handbook is mini 3-ring binder, hard blue cover, approx 2" thick, printed two sided.  If the copyright police arrest me - I'll drop you a line to sell mine, for bail bond money.

Good Luck.

Thanks guys.  I figured as much.  I used to have a bunch of these kind of manuals from my AT&T days but threw them out years ago.  Who ever thought anyone would ever want them again?

Thanks again,

Tom

I have a copy of 900-200-318 dated October 1996,  Copyright August 1994.  I confirmed that it was current on on 04/09/2002a and wrote e the following contact number in the jacket:  888-582-3588.  This is product documentation for Alcatel Lucent, follow the message prompts and good luck.

Hi ya...   In regards to references in Military documents, is there any chance one of you folks that has a copy of 900-200-318 could post page 8-20?  That appears to be the only page/subject that I3A references.  It would be very handy to have that particular page, just to shore up the ref and what I3A's actually referencing.

Thanks in advance!

It has been an interesting search.  I would appreciate that page as well.  I will try the phone number above.  May need a search party.

The phone number posted above (888) 582-3588 goes to an 978 area code residence.

I verified this calling on two different phone systems.

To anyone in possession of Lucent 900-200-318:

Page 8-20 that I requested above isn't the right page...

Would it be possible to get a .pdf posted of page 8-40, 41, & 42 (and maybe 8-43 if it bleeds to that page) That section is in reference to Duct Assignments and Cable Racking.  The Military's I3A and OSP DPR guidelines says that Duct Assignments and Cable Racking "...shall be IAW...", but it's not to be found on the internet that I can discover...

It also mentions "...IAW..." Practices 632-305-215 and 919-240-300.  Not sure if that's what is on those pages, or if those are additional documents.

It sure would be helpful to a load of folks!
