I have a client that has a desgin which I am questioning on his behalf.  It specs a 750 MCM BC from the TMGB to the main building electrical ground (approx 500 ft away).

I say standards show max is 3/0.  His design seems more based on a 48V DC grounding system.

Also he specs all racks and cabinets to be discreetly grounded back to TMGB.  I believe you can bond to a common ground cable in tray (not serially).  Trying to save client major dollars as their budgets are very tight and I believe this is totally unecessary.  Could you some help backing up my case.

Anyone?
