I was tasked to straigten out the spaghetti factory main fiber distribution frame at the campus I work at.  The intial set up was in an old nortel cabinet, I actually like the concept.  The second generation of splicing they put in a standard 2 post rack, tough to work with in my opinion.  Anyway I have limited space and high density counts of fibers suggestions?

My initial suggestions.

Please post a photo or two.

That way we can visualize quantity of connections/cables, splicing requirements, slack cable, vendor preferences, space limitations, etc.

Comments should be more meaningful and pointed, based on observed existing conditions.

Also, don't forget to engage on-site, with your local distributor, preferred manufacturer representatives and or reputable local contractor.

Product cost are only one criteria.  Other criteria might include:
Means and method for deployment, length of service distruptions, future servicability, labeling and administration, testing, emergency preparedness if something goes wrong etc.

If you are not familiar with options in this kind of situation I would strongly recommend you work with a reputable designer/engineering firm or consultant that has experience doing this type of work.  They do this type of work all fo the time and can help prepare specs to tender this work as well depending on how big the job is.

Where are you located?
