Is there a standard symbol for a wireless access point?

Not sure about a "standard" but the most common symbol I have seen used is and open triangle with the initials "WAP" just below or to the side of it. Something like this:

Hope that helps you

I have seen WAP's that are ceiling mounted having a circle around them, indicating that they are in the ceiling. Review the 'BICSI information transport Systems Dictionary'.

I have seen designs that differentiate between the actual AP and the information Management Outlet (IMO) itself. In this particular design IMOs were installed in a grid above the ceiling (non-plenum ceiling) for connection of APs and other building automation, security cameras, etc.  The symbol used for the above ceiling IMO in this case is a triangle in a square to indicate mounting the IMO above the ceiling.  In addition there is another symbol for mounting within the ceiling system (triangle with a mounting height) or just below the ceiling (triangle with a mounting height).  In this particular design every above ceiling IMO is not used for APs so a separate symbol (encircled AP with rays and a MAC address of the AP) was used.  These AP symbols were placed on drawings based on RF site surveys but are kept separate from the symbols for structured cabling.  Essentially the symbols for the IMOs / above ceiling work area outlets and the APs are on separate layers.  Thoughts?
