While particle and gaseous contamination resulting from dust and dirt can lead to unexpected shutdowns of critical IT equipment, the connection between contamination and hardware failures is often overlooked.

This is the latest book in the ASHRAE Datacom Series - a series of eight publications dealing with all aspects of datacom facility design and operation. This newly released book from ASHRAE provides basic information that is essential to the control and prevention of particulate and gaseous contamination in data center facilities. "Particulate and Gaseous Contamination in Datacom Environments" identifies datacom equipment susceptibility and operational impact, strategies for prevention and control as well as contamination testing and analysis.

Rich Hill, President of Data Clean, contributed as a chapter lead and co-author.
