| | I would use the RSS feed, except it requires athentication. Not good if you use anything other than Internet Explorer as your news reader. I brought this up when they rtolled it out, not sure if it is fixed yet, plust I dont know how to subscribe to a feed that requires auth, is there a way? |

| Felix (4/7/2009) I would use the RSS feed, except it requires athentication. Not good if you use anything other than Internet Explorer as your news reader. I brought this up when they rtolled it out, not sure if it is fixed yet, plust I dont know how to subscribe to a feed that requires auth, is there a way? That's a good question. Here's another one. --Working with Internet Explorer (most people) -- How fast should RSS feeds work? If we subscribe to the feed yesterday and today there are 10 new topics/replies (5 in morning & 5 in afternoon), then which should we see in the feed? Let's do this by the numbers: 1- Click on the RSS feed icon - and subscribe. 2- View your new feed - to get updates When set to default - the viewer updates the feed once a day. You can "view feed properties" and change the settings and frequency of the updates.

| | The RSS feed for BICSI works the exact same way you see it as if you were browsing by website, the newst stuff at the top, so a reply would force the thread to the top. It's a little different than say a website that posts new stories and the flow in one direction. Also, I don;t think most people use IE for a news reader, there are soo many more available that are way better. Even the online ones are better, it's too bad it requires auth. |
